Should I drink tea after eating fruits?

It is generally not recommended to drink tea immediately after eating fruits. This is because fruits are high in natural sugars, and consuming them along with tea can lead to an increase in the acidity of the stomach. This can cause discomfort, indigestion and can also lead to erosion of the tooth enamel.

Tea, particularly black tea, contains tannins which can interfere with the absorption of non-heme iron found in fruits. This can cause iron deficiency if consumed regularly in high amounts.

It is recommended to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour after eating fruits before drinking tea. This allows your body to properly digest the fruits and reduce the risk of discomfort or indigestion.

Additionally, It's also important to note that different fruits have different acidity levels and some may interact differently with tea, so it's good to be aware of the acidity level of the fruits you are eating.

It's always a good idea to listen to your body and if you feel discomfort or indigestion after eating fruits and drinking tea, it's best to avoid this combination or to consume them in moderation.
