Why did Dolores Hart leave Hollywood?

Dolores Hart, who began her career as a Hollywood actress in the late 1950s and early 1960s, left the film industry in 1963 to become a Benedictine nun. She joined the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Connecticut and took her final vows in 1968. She still continues to live in the Abbey.
